This series of steam sterilizable electrodes are designed for economical use. They are constructed very similar to the standard pH electrodes, have a 10 and 12mm body, and can be ordered with the desired length. Length is determined by the insertion depth on the under side of the fermentor head plate to the tip of the probe. Glass disposable electrodes are available in galvanic styles to fill all requirements. The glass DO probes are available for laboratory fermentation, where sterilization takes place in a separate autoclave. The disposable Dissolved Oxygen Electrodes are compatible with most common oxygen amplifiers. Glass body oxygen electrodes are non temperature compensated and are required to be kept at a constant temperature. Calibration must be made at the same temperature as the controlled fermentation. The electrodes feature external filling tubes. Electrolyte can be added during use without removing the electrode from the vessel. The electrode membranes can be replaced very easily. However, some skill is involved in replacing them.

INTRODUCTION
MS 0257 is a water-resistant, dissolved oxygen meter that measures up to 300% saturation or 45 ppm (mg/L) with temperature compensation and automatic calibration. It has been developed for DO and temperature measurement in water, wastewater, and applications such as fish farming.
This instrument also allows altitude compensation up to 4000 m and the ppm and % saturation are both compensated for changes in solubility of oxygen in water and for permeability of the membrane as well as the temperature effect.
The included polarographic probe features built-in temperature compensation and remov

SALIENT FEATURES AND BENEFITS :
• Highly sensitive & stable
• Manual Temperature Compensation
APPLICATIONS :
NATURAL WATER
To ensure the state of dynamic equilibrium of DO maintained by biochemical deplection by bacteria for the food chain and continued re oxy-generation by aeration and photosynthesis and thus the availability
of right amount of DO which is vitally important for flora and fauna in water.
To detect pollution - lower level of DO (normal 7.1 ppm) will adversely affect the aquatic life.
SEWAGE WASTES
To ensure biochemical break-down treatment of sewage which is achieved by bacterial attack which requires DO.Non-availability of DO leads to increase activity of anaerobic, sulphate reducing bacteria resulting in production of hydrogen sulphide causing serious corrosion problem.
MICROBIAL STUDIES
To study effects of drugs on the brain tissues, other organs/limbs, circulation system muscle and connective tissues, malignant tissues and surface.
AGRICULTURE
To ensure sufficient aeration in soil needed for underground respiration of plant roots in addition to photo synthesis.
FOODS & DRUGS
To ensure oxidation is not adversely affecting the food stuffs. To ensure DO requirements for fermentation in foods, distilleries and Bio-synthetic preparations in Drugs & Chemicals.
BOILER FEED WATER
To ensure proper level of DO to avoid oxidative corrosion of Boiler pipes in steam generation, heaters etc.
